About David

Passionate About Teaching Music

I'm passionate about performing, writing, recording, hearing, and of course, teaching music. I'm a qualified teacher with a full CRB/DBS certificate and liability insurance. After spending around ten years as a primary school class teacher, I decided to bring my passion for music together with my love of teaching.

My aim in every lesson is to make playing music enjoyable and fun, so that learning an instrument becomes a source of pleasure and fulfilment for life. I teach from my purpose-built studio, the Potting Shed, at my home in Benhall, Cheltenham.

Music Lessons in Primary Schools

I deliver instrumental lessons in primary schools across Gloucestershire, bringing the joy of music directly to pupils during the school day.

Guitar is taught in all partner schools, with ukulele and brass available in many. If you're a school looking to offer instrumental tuition, or a parent enquiring about lessons at your child's school, please get in touch.

Record Your Music

My purpose-built music room includes recording facilities. Pupils can record pieces they've been learning, or work on bigger recording projects. It's a great way to hear your progress and have something to be proud of.
